The Blastphemy Synopses The Blastphemy documentary unravels the outrage over blasphemous Danish cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It further questions the boundaries of freedom of speech and how 1.6 billion Muslims think blasphemy of their holy prophet as an unacceptable hate crime . It primarily narrates the story of a non-religious guy; GAZI ILM DIN SHAHEED of Pakistan, Lahore, who acted violently and killed the publisher of a blasphemous book about Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) in 1928 (during British Raj in India). Gazi was sentenced to death by the court, but he is since celebrated as a martyr and saint for many Muslims in Pakistan. Scholars including Dalia Mogahed (Advisor to President Obama), Imam Siraj Wahhaj (Afro-American Imam from New York) and Syed B.Soharwardy (A Canadian Imam) talks about the issues and fears by publishing of such offensive cartoons for muslims living in the western countries. “The Blastphemy”, is a saga of intolerances, authentic thoughts and mystical visuals never shown before.
